Newport
The Nitro Bar

After
"Quentin and his team are the best in the biz! Thoughtful and quick!"
The Nitro Bar's bustling Thames Street location in Newport had an outdated commercial kitchen floored with old tile and redundant platforms which mostly served as a trip hazard, along with worn wooden floors front-of-house. With the cafe closed down for just 16 days, the Elite Renovation team had the monumental task of tearing out and replacing the kitchen areas, plus refinishing the front-of-house and installing new shelving features. To add to the challenge, upon beginning demolition, we found that sections of the subfloor were rotted enough that one of our team fell straight through!
After these rot repairs, we poured new concrete flooring to incorporate floor drains, refinished all front-of-house wood flooring, covered the walls with fibreglass-reinforced plastic for easy cleaning, installed a new commercial kitchen renovation, installed transformative new shelving behind the coffee bar, built a new front sign, and built a new wooden waste area.
Progress comparisons
For The Nitro Bar's main kitchen, we removed old floor tile, which revealed a subfloor rotten enough to fall through. Once the subfloor was repaired, we poured new concrete flooring to incorporate floor drains, applied a non-slip coating, and installed new industrial appliances.
For The Nitro Bar's coffee bar back wall we pulled up and repaired rotten subfloor, removed existing storage, refinished the hardwood floors, and built new cabinets and shelving.
For The Nitro Bar's wash area of the kitchen, we removed old floor tile, poured new concrete flooring to incorporate floor drains, applied a non-slip coating, installed fiberglass-reinforced plastic sheets on the walls for easy cleaning, installed new industrial sinks and shelves, and installed a metallic drop ceiling.
