Don's bathroom and laundry area was dated and in a poor state of repair. Elite Renovation undertook a full demolition of the space, including the subfloor and dividing wall. We reinstalled subfloors and repositioned the internal wall and other internal post supports. Then, we installed new drywall and floor tile as well as a new shower, vanity, lights, toilet, and laundry machine. After finishing the walls and other accessories, the results are a fully modern bathroom built to support Don for many years to come.
Progress comparisons
The bathroom's initial state was of poor repair, including rotten subfloor. We fully demolished it back to the framing, installed new subfloor and insulation, installed moisture-resistant drywall, and installed final finishes and features.
The walk-in shower which would replace the old bathtub was a different size, requiring us to remove the old dividing wall and change the framing to accommodate a new dividing wall between the shower and the laundry machine.
The bathroom's compact size meant a built-in vanity cabinet was ideal to save space. We added new support framing to accommodate this.
